Josh Rosen keeps making headlines for acknowledging the obvious

"Whenever I come out to go to the National Football League, I think I'd be honored to play for any team", Darnold told reporters Wednesday, via ESPN. "I'd rather be a lower pick at the right team than a higher one at the wrong team". "Any team that would want to give me that opportunity to be a part of their organization, it would mean the world to me".

As we inch closer to the NFL Playoffs, the draft order is starting to take shape, at least at the top of the draft.

Some people will hold it against Rosen, taking it as a rejection of them rather than rejecting a team that has won one game in the previous two seasons and is owned by Jimmy Haslam, who even the most ardent supporters would concede has done a bad job to this point.

Darnold is finishing his redshirt sophomore year at USC by playing in the Cotton Bowl this week and Rosen completed his junior campaign. Some reports suggest Rosen would stay in college to avoid being drafted by Cleveland, who also hold the Houston Texan's high first-round pick following the trade to acquire Deshaun Watson past year. He's already projected as one of the top quarterback prospects in this year's draft should he declare, with several teams looking to fill the position. If the Giants end up taking Rosen, there's some cover for Dorsey to take whichever QB he wants at two. The Browns also have the Houston Texans' first-round pick which is now at No. 4. The word egotistical was mentioned many times in referring to Rosen. ESPN reported that Rosen might skip the draft and return to play for Chip Kelly at UCLA next season if he knows the Browns would take him at No. 1. Otherwise, Rosen will be proven right and he won't be the last one to avoid the Browns.
