Honor 7X launches in the USA for $199, pre-orders start today

In doing this, Honor has set itself apart by showcasing its own bravery to do things differently and to take the steps needed to usher in the latest technologies and innovations for its customers.

Honor has launched its new Honor 7X at a global event in London.

The Honor View 10's also got 6GB of RAM with 128GB of storage, which can be supplemented with expandable storage thanks to the presence of a microSD card slot. The phone houses 3,340mAh battery with "Ultra Power Saving Mode".

A well-built, but not entirely original design.
Both the Honor 7X and V10 are already available in the Chinese market, but they are now officially available worldwide. With the Honor 7X, Huawei has embraced the bezel-less trend of 2017 and equipped the smartphone with a 5.9-inch FullHD+ display which flows from one edge to the other.

As for the specifications, the Honor 7X gets the 5.93-inch full HD+ LCD display sporting a resolution of 2160x1080 pixels. So it's just a flat piece of metal on the back. It has 13 scene recognitions at launch with more to follow.

The launch event will reveal the India prices for Honor 7X that run on Android 7 Nougat.

The design isn't particularly inspiring, and reeks of a phone whose features you'll have to love way more than the hardware to shell out for it.

This is the same aspect ratio as the Huawei Mate 10 Pro, yet there's a front-placed fingerprint sensor and headphone jack like on the Mate 10. The Honor 7X is a successor to Honor 6X smartphone, which was launched in India earlier this year. It also features similar specifications as the Honor 9i, which is priced at Rs 17,999 in India. Charging at up to 4.5A should deliver quick, cool refills. "Honor 7X was dropped over 4,800 times in the lab during testing so users can be assured that better value for money doesn't compromise our high-end quality", Zhao added. This isn't just a Leica-less recreation of the Mate 10 Pro's setup - instead, there's are dual 16- and 20-megapixel sensors around the back, behind f/1.8 apertures. Honor calls its camera setup (which consists of multiple sensors not visible externally) as the Point Cloud Depth Camera.

As is always the case with Huawei and Honor smartphones, software is an issue here.

Many of the Mate 10's camera features have been ported over, but it's unclear how the optics will stack up. Up front is an 8-megapixel snapper.

The price is what makes these phones entirely different.

The View 10 will use the 13MP front facing camera for facial unlock.
