Harlem Rapper Finally Meets His 81-Year-Old 'Words With Friends' Buddy

Spencer Sleyon (who allegedly raps under the name Half Empty) finally got to meet Rosalind "Roz" Guttman in West Palm Beach, Florida after the two spent over a year playing the ever-popular game "Words With Friends".

A young man and an elderly woman who "randomly" met playing Words With Friends together online past year and went on to share 324 games have now met up in person.

The trip was arranged by Amy Butler, a pastor at Manhattan's Riverside Church, who flew to Florida with the rapper. Find out more in the video above.

Spencer tweeted photos with Roz - and his post now has more than one million likes on Twitter.

Despite their 64-year age gap and the fact they didn't know each other, Spencer and Roz began mentally jousting on the online Scrabble-like game - and each refused to back down from the other's offer of a rematch. "So last summer i randomly met this 80 y/o woman on words with friends". And last week that got to meet for the very first time.

Words With Friends also called the story "amazing" on Twitter. Their first meet and greet was as sweet as you can imagine. Spencer tweeted they have played more than 300 games together.

Ms Butler said she has used the example of their friendship in sermons, as Spencer is a friend of her daughter's.

Word of the meetup - which was arranged by NY pastor Amy Butler - has caused people on the internet to implode with delight and crying react GIFs.
