Christmas parade set Monday, 100 entries expected downtown

This year's parade starts at 6pm on Saturday, December 2 on Riverside Dr. W just west of Bridge Ave. and continues westward to Brock St.in Sandwich Towne.

Philadelphia's annual Christmas parade is set for Monday night featuring about a hundred entries.

The Town of Weddington is hosting its Christmas Tree Lighting today (Dec. 1) from 5-8 p.m.at the town hall. Parade participants and spectators are encouraged to bring a toy or gift for a child for the Marine Corps Reserves Toys for Tots program.

Salem: Friday, 6:30 p.m. The city's tree lighting will take place beforehand at 6 p.m.at the farmers market.

And then don't forget the annual Christmas Luminary at Spotsylvania Courthouse at 4:45 p.m. Sunday.

"The parade begins at 6 p.m. on Park Avenue and turns onto Main Street with activities continuing in the 700 block of Main Street", said Steve Bartels, Hereford assistant city manager.

Unionville's annual Tree Lighting Ceremony and Parade is Saturday (Dec. 2) starting at 3 p.m. A free Christmas concert will follow the parade at Hatton High School. - The "Parade of Lights" holiday parade runs from University Drive along Main Street to the Sal's/El Charro parking lot.
