WWE has done something huge on the taping for tonight's WWE Smackdown show.
-Jinder Mahal vs. AJ Styles for the WWE Championship.
Styles is now a two-time WWE Champion following last year's triumph against Dean Ambrose at Backlash.
So, now, unless something happens, something squirrelly, some kind of WWE-swerve, AJ is headed to Survivor Series next Sunday to square off with WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar.
It was originally announced that the tours in New Delhi, India would have WWE title matches with Jinder Mahal defending against Kevin Owens.
Mahal was supposed to represent Smackdown against RAW's Lesnar but it now seems like Styles will be the one facing The Beast instead.
There's still plenty of time for him to win the title back, of course, but as of right now, the champion is The Phenomenal One.
-Rusev vs. Randy Orton (Rusev will qualify for Team Smackdown at Survivor Series with a win). People were not excited about the match, and WWE may have been feeling that they needed someone else in that spot with Lesnar to sell the "main event" of this month's brand vs brand PPV. John Cena pinned him in January to win the championship.
