Salah has nothing to prove in Chelsea reunion - Klopp

Salah has nothing to prove in Chelsea reunion - Klopp

When you consider that they've conceded 17 goals in the league this season - two more than Swansea who are in the bottom three - it becomes very clear where their issues lie.

Chelsea winger Eden Hazard believes Liverpool attacker Mohamed Salah did not get a proper chance to prove himself when he was at Stamford Bridge.

"I am very happy because now he is fine, but he needs a bit of time to find the best physical condition".

One headache ahead of Saturday's game for Conte was Chelsea's "scary" five-and-a-half hour flight return flight from Baku after Wednesday's 4-0 Champions League win against Qarabag. That being said, I don't think Chelsea will be losing too much sleep over that sale, he simply didn't fit in with their system at that time but it's great to see how well he's performing under Jurgen Klopp. He was very young in a very strong team and it didn't come through, that happens very often.

Liverpool would move level on points with third-placed Chelsea if they win at Anfield. "They have to pay more attention and to try and give the same possibilities to each team to recover in the right way and the same way, and not to create problems for only one team".

"He has improved a lot, especially physically-wise".

Like Salah, he left Chelsea while current Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho was in charge of the London club, and Klopp described Salah's decision to make his name elsewhere as "completely normal".

"My daughter said to me you look older".

Salah is the Premier League top scorer, having netted nine times, and he has also returned four goals in five games in the UEFA Champions League. He was already a very good player, how I said a few times I saw him for the first time at Basel - he was already quick!

Klopp put Salah's struggles at Chelsea down to inexperience, saying he was not surprised the Egypt worldwide failed to force his way into a side full of seasoned players who won the title the season after he was first loaned out.

"It is very hard to not show this passion".
