That's a question that one of Black Mirror's Season 4 episodes will probably leave its viewers questioning, as the trailer for the Jodie Foster-directed Black Mirror episode, "Arkangel", just dropped on Saturday, Nov. 25 - and, in true Black Mirror fashion, it's just as thrilling and insane as any fan of the show would expect it to be. Still no word on the season's release date.
The first trailer for an episode of season four of Netflix's dystopian sci-fi series Black Mirror has just been released and it's as uncomfortable as the show has ever been.
In the trailer, a single mom and her adorable daughter live together on a small suburban street, playing hide and seek and generally having a great time until the day the daughter goes missing from a local playground. After frantically trying to find her, she shows up but DeWitt's character is clearly unsettled and decides to make her daughter go through a procedure where it doesn't happen again.
It may be flawless for lost toddlers, but since this is Black Mirror, we've got a feeling this revolutionary technology is going to come with some severe repercussions.
Not much else is revealed except what might be the tracking company's eerie slogan: "The key to good parenting is control". Yeah, I'm sure we're in for a pretty wild ride with this episode. "The stories we're hearing are just truly inspirational". The trailer was followed a month later by stills from "Arkangel" and a Star Trek-themed episode titled "USS Callister". Soon enough, the mother seems to lose her child, before quickly finding her.
