No release date for BlizzardWorld or Moira has been revealed just yet. She's essentially Mercy's dark counterpart - she's a healer, but she's got an edgier look, and is a former member of the shadowy Blackwatch division. Blizzcon is in full swing, and Overwatch fans are getting both a new map and hero to play around with.
On top of Moira's announcement, we get another real treat, in the form of "Honor and Glory, " a brand new animated short starring Reinhardt, and showing a glimpse on his past.
Using her left hand, Moira expends biotic energy to heal allies in front of her. Her right hand fires a long-range beam weapon that saps enemies' health, healing Moira and replenishing her biotic energy. Blizzard has answered with the arrival of a new support character to be introduced to the game soon. Much like Reaper, however, she also has her Fade ability, which allows her to teleport across a short distance.
Finally, her ultimate ability is named Coalescence, and sees Moira combine both her healing and damage talents, channelling a long-range beam that bypasses all barriers and works with or against anybody it comes across.
Moira will head into Overwatch's PTR before she's added to the live game. Blizzard World, as it is called, is a hybrid map that is part assault and part payload.
The new map is Blizzard World, a zany theme park map based on all of Blizzard's properties.
In all honesty, the main disappointment so far is the simple fact that Blizzard World now only exists as an Overwatch map. It looks like the small Talon team we once knew when "Overwatch" was first released is no more.
