Earlier on several Pixel 2 XL devices were reported to be suffering from screen burn-in issues and now it looks like another issue has cropped up regarding the microphone of the Pixel 2 XL device. This is not in fact a new problem. A community manager for the Pixel User Community forum has responded to the many complaints regarding this, but we're still waiting on an official statement from Google. One user reported in Google's Pixel forum, "I'm not sure why, but the Pixel 2 XL screen flashes when unlocking (fingerprint and lock button), when the screen wakes up because of notifications, when the screen dims and the phone locks, and when manually locking".
"In my case the issue occurs always and not only when the screen is locked and I squeeze to launch the Assistant". One of the users wrote,"I have the new Pixel 2 (not XL) and the mic stopped working for me". Blowing into the speaker when the microphone is working causes it to fail. I was able to replicate the issue by blowing into the bottom speaker. Yes.
Google's Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL launch has been far from a smooth sailing and after complaints of boring colours and screen-burn-in in its OLED screen, more new issues have cropped up. Apparently, there is a fix that might bring the microphone back to work.
That said, even older and lower-end smartphones could net you at least a 25% discount, perhaps even 35%. Users have posted videos showing a bright white or greenish flash that seems to confirm the issue. This doesn't happen all the time. First, notice through live periscope streams past about 2 minutes. According to Google, it will provide you a 24 hours of listening time on a single charge. The other big issue sounds like a hardware concern as it affects the microphone of the Pixel 2. Google said late last month that it was investigating the issue.
