Carrie Underwood recuperating after fall at home

Carrie Underwood will be out of commission for a bit after falling outside of her Nashville-area home on Friday night (Nov. 10).

Along with her broken wrist, the Before He Cheats songstress is also healing from minor cuts and abrasions.

The GRAMMY victor thanked her fans on Twitter for their well wishes on Sunday morning, also expressing gratitude for her husband.

Carrie Underwood is on the mend after breaking her wrist and suffering other injuries from a "hard fall" outside her house.

"Thanks so much for all the well wishes everybody", Underwood's tweet reads. She has since been released from the hospital. In a statement Sunday on Twitter, Underwood thanked her fans for messages of support following her fall Friday night.

However, she explained that her recovery would undoubtedly take some time.

News Channel 5 reports Underwood's injury has made her scheduled appearance at Sunday's Country Rising concert impossible.

The lineup includes George Strait, Jason Aldean, Sam Hunt, Dierks Bentley, Chris Stapleton, Lady Antebellum, Little Big Town, Martina McBride, Reba McEntire and Keith Urban.

The rep continued, adding that Underwood's husband of seven years, Mike Fisher, travelled overnight to be at her side.
