Smart or nah? LaVar Ball pulls LaMelo out of Chino Hills HS

After the season, Chino Hills went looking for a new coach and hired Dennis Latimore, a native of Kansas who played two seasons at Arizona and one at Notre Dame. Chino Hills won't be as competitive or as relevant without the Ball brothers or the other talented players they've attracted.

"LaMelo is not going to be at school tomorrow with his Lamborghini parked in front", LaVar said, per ESPN.com's Darren Rovell. Ok, y'all got all that going on, let's see how you do without my tutelage.

"It's good for Melo", LaVar said.

LaVar was widely accused of getting the previous Chino Hills head coach fired and removing his (very) talented son from the proceedings now won't be doing Latimore any favors. "It seems like anyone who's training over there that coach don't want him in the team". Without me training those players at my house.

A Top 50 high school player from Kansas known for being easygoing and introspective, Latimore spent most of the 2001-02 and 2002-03 seasons at Arizona, then transferred to Notre Dame. He has a vision for how his sons will blossom into National Basketball Association prospects and he's unafraid to go to war if the slightest detail isn't to his liking.

There is no doubt LaMelo Ball will be a basketball superstar, if he's not one already.

While even LaVar doesn't have the juice to force UCLA to cycle through coaches, he can make life hard for Alford if he chooses.

LaVar said LaMelo still intends to sign with UCLA.

Naturally, twitter had plenty to say regarding LaVar's decision to pull his youngest son out of High School. "But you know he's got his own shoe, you know the NCAA don't like that, so they might be like, 'Hey, back up.'" I ain't got no problem backing up because we're still going to get to here, he's on deck, coming to the Lakers".
