The body of a child has been found on a beach in Texas with no clues as to his identity, United States police say.
Authorities in Texas released a sketch Sunday afternoon of a young child whose body turned up on a beach in Galveston late last week, as they urged anybody who might recognize his face to step forward.

He says there are no signs of major trauma and that police are waiting for an autopsy report.
Police called the case extremely unusual and said the circumstances surrounding the death grow more suspicious as time goes on.
The boy is described as about 3 feet tall, slim and possibly Hispanic with black hair and brown eyes. This picture is now available on the City of Galveston Website and the Galveston Police Department's social media outlets; please share it.
A person spotted the child about 5:35 p.m. while walking on the beach near 7th Street and Seawall Boulevard, authorities said. Police released the sketch with a statement on the case. "Somebody somewhere here has seen this child", said GPD Captain Josh Schirard.
Schirard said such a case is very unusual.
Police say they've checked surrounding counties but no missing person report matches the description of the child.
He also says it's very hard to have the death of a child and not have answers to give to anyone.
Investigators said they don't want to rule any situation out, so they have also reached out to Child Protective Services to see if there's any way the agency can help identify the child. Police still have no idea who this little boy belongs to.
