Charlie Heaton 'Stranger Things' Star Busted with Coke Denied Entry to US

Stranger Things actor Charlie Heaton, was denied from entering the USA last week after trace amounts of cocaine were found in his luggage, the Associated Press has reported.

The 23-year-old British actor, who plays Jonathan Byers on the hit Netflix show, was detained at Los Angeles International Airport on October 21, People.com reports.

One Stranger Things star was celebrating the release of Season 2 on Netflix perhaps a little too hard this past week.

Heaton allegedly admitted to using drugs after he was found with traces of cocaine upon his arrival in California, law enforcement officials told The Hollywood Reporter. Heaton was detained but not arrested.

Jaime Ruiz, branch chief of strategic media engagement for U.S. Customs and Border Protection, had this to say about the incident.

The actor was flying to Los Angeles for the second season premiere of his show "Stranger Things" which he missed.

"A violation, conspiracy to violate or simply an attempt to violate any U.S. State, federal or any foreign government controlled substance violation renders a foreign national inadmissible to the United States", it reads.

Heaton, who plays Jonathan Byers on the hit Netflix show (which released its hotly-anticipated second season yesterday), was denied entry to the U.S. by airport officials after traces of the drug were discovered in his luggage.

People reached out to Heaton's rep for a comment, but there wasn't a response at the time of reporting.
