Xiaomi says that the upcoming device will be from a new series

The leaks so far have claimed that Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 will come in several variants including 4GB RAM with 128GB storage, 6GB RAM with 128GB storage, and 8GB RAM with 256GB storage. The reason why Mi Mix 2 will be faced with such a tough competition is because it will be equipped with impressive specs alongside a bezel-less display.

Xiaomi has officially confirmed that it will be holding an unveiled event for the highly anticipated Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 on september 11. Xiaomi has already hinted at an ultra-thin bezel on the Mi Mix 2 as expected from the second generation device. The Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 does not have an earpiece, or a camera on the upper front due to its bezel-less 6.4-inch display. There is a dual camera setup on the rear with each sensor sporting 12MP and also a 5MP selfie camera. Today, Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun has officially shared an image that shows a box packages of the Mi MIX 2. This is in line with the previously suggested 93 percent screen-to-body ratio on the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2. So, if Mi Mix 2 will really come with the latest processor is still unclear. Also, the design is purported to have some similarities with the recently launched Mi 5X.

The launch date of the Mi Mix 2 is not far away.

Meanwhile, Xiaomi India is preparing to announce a dual camera phone in India tomorrow, i.e September 5. But, Xiaomi is now surprising everyone by revealing that the device would be from a completely new series.

Zhao Ziming, a Beijing-based industry analyst, said September and October have always been golden months for Chinese smartphone releases, and their strategies to launch full-screen handsets to compete with Apple has become clear this year, with products generally being pitched at lower prices than the U.S. giant. While the Krispitech report points to the Xiaomi A1 name for the rumoured Android One smartphone from the Chinese smartphone maker, a more recent report indicates the smartphone will be named the Xiaomi Mi A1 and will sport a full screen display.
