The first updated feature that rolled out is picture-in-picture mode whereas the second one is text-only coloured status update feature.
It is however not clear whether the new feature of the PIP window on WhatsApp is movable on the screen or not as of yet. To recall, both the features were earlier available for the beta users, but now WhatsApp has pushed out both the features to stable builds. These features are available now on the latest builds for WhatsApp which comes as Android v2.17.323 and iOS 2.17.52. Users can click on the colour palette icon to change the background colour. In this new features will be smooth the status that can be visible for 24 hours can now be set with text not only with the pictures it will appear as good for the sight users.
From a text messaging app to a video calling app, Whatsapp has taken the world by a storm for sure. These features will be available on both Android and iPhone smartphones. That's the text only status, which the messaging service killed in favor of a Snapchat like status update clone.
Speaking about the text-only status now that it's back and will function as usual. However, the new version of WhatsApp lets users choose even the background color and add the text at the same time. This feature will supposedly allow verified business to chat with their clients or customers. We don't know why it is mentioned in the latest changelog too, maybe WhatsApp wants to remind users that these features also exist on the app in case they haven't noticed.
WhatsApp has been trying to bring in many new features on the app recently. It will disappear after 24 hours; friends will be able to comment on the status which will come as a personal message to the user.
