'The Crow' Reboot Nabbed by Sony

I think it's time for a fresh take on The Crow, and rebooting it is the right call - trying to make another sequel at this point wouldn't work very well at all.

No projected release date for The Crow Reborn has been reported.

Back in 1994, the Alex Proyas movie The Crow came out in theaters, instantly become a cult classic. It's been in limbo since the company went bankrupt.

Sony Pictures now ows the distribution rights to The Crow Reborn, a reboot that will be a more faithful adaptation to James O Barr's comic book. He dropped out of the lead role in August of that year, followed by Fresnadillo in October 2011.

Now The Crow is moving forward with Sony, but the report states both Jason Momoa and Corin Hardy are not officially on board as of yet, but it's said "insiders say the plan does includes them coming on in the near term". Last fall it was announced that Samuel Hadida's Davis Films, Highland Film Group, and Electric Shadow would finance, produce, and distribute the film. Highland Film Group and Electric Shadow are also producing, with HFG handling worldwide sales. Tragically, Lee died in an accident during production. His character Aquaman was already teased in "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" and will return in the upcoming "Justice League" before embarking on his own adventure in a 2018 solo movie. He's now working on The Conjuring spin-off, The Nun.
