The performance was introduced by Atlantic co-chairmen Julie Greenwald and Craig Kallman, both of whom Clarkson thanked effusively for their work on the album, which found her working with a diverse team of songwriters and producers.
Thankfully our spirit animal, Kelly Clarkson, is here to keep us grounded with not one, but two new song. She will also return to NBC next year in her new role as coach on the new season of "The Voice", set to premiere in February 2018.
Clarkson says she was approached by "Idol" producers about joining the show, but they were unable to land her. The record itself doesn't drop until next month (October 27, 2017), but you can listen to her first single now. "My backup singers who've worked with me for years said 'It's the first time you've done a record that's, like, full-on your personality'".
If that isn't enough good news for all you Clarkson fans, the singer also dropped her music video for "Love So Soft" today and it is wonderful.
THIS is the album I've always wanted to make... and I finally get to share it with y'all!
The singer added, "Although I am extremely thankful to the incredible people that I've had the chance to work with, I can not describe the excitement of working with Julie Greenwald, Craig Kallman and their team at Atlantic Records". If you pre-order the album, you'll get that as a download instantly, as well as another track, "Move You".
