Jaylon Smith 'Likely To Start' In NFL Debut For Cowboys vs. Giants

We now know one star will be on the field after Cowboys fans endured Law & Order: The Zeke Chronicles this week, but what about Giants superstar receiver Odell Beckham?

"I wouldn't count it out", Beckham said on Wednesday.

The Giants vs. Cowboys game is available to live stream on the NFL Mobile App. He is one of the most unsafe players in the National Football League, aren't likely to allow him on the field unless he is fully healthy.

If Beckham doesn't play, expect Brandon Marshall to be targeted more often and second-year receiver Roger Lewis would take most of Beckham's snaps. NY corner Janoris Jenkins played mostly press coverage with the safeties preventing him from getting beat, which meant many of Dez's routes were converted to go-routes.

This is simple and a key for the Giants in all 16 games this season. "He's one of the best in the game".

Beckham, who suffered a sprained left ankle on August 21 in a preseason game against the Browns, hasn't practiced since the injury, though coach Ben McAdoo said the receiver has a "chance" to participate in a light session with the team Saturday.

In the NY area, it can be heard on WCBS 880 with Bob Papa and Carl Banks on the call, Howard Cross reporting from the sidelines. The Giants' defensive line was built to compete against the Cowboys' offensive line. NY is led by Eli Manning, Odell Beckham, and Brandon Marshall on offense and the likes of Oilvier Vernon, Janoris Jenkins, and Jason Pierre-Paul on defense which makes them one of the most balanced teams in the NFC and if they can go into Dallas and leave with a huge victory like the Chiefs did to the defending champions on Thursday it could very well shift the landscape and conversation of who the team to beat is in the NFC.

The first meeting last season was Prescott's first game as a pro.

Beckham told SNY's Taylor Rooks on Friday that he was "feeling a lot better", but had a "long evening of rehab" ahead.

While the defense allowed nearly 10 points less than it did in 2015, the offense went the other way and dropped a touchdown in points per game. He surpassed the 1,300-yard mark all three years and is coming off a 2016 campaign in which he tallied a career-high 101 catches for 1,367 yards and 10 touchdowns. With him, Eli Manning has a trusted target back on the field, the player whose ascension to the NFL's most rarefied air came against these same Cowboys in the form of an unforgettable one-handed sideline grab.

"Well he is obviously a great player and other guys are going to have to step up there", Sullivan said when asked how the game plan would change with or without Beckham.
