Apple's iPhone 8 And iPhone 8 Plus Gets Unboxed

The new iPhone 8 of course, which launches in Singapore today. However, this year Apple Store in Sydney only saw 30 iPhone 8 lovers in the queue. The top range iPhone X will become available next month, at 8,388 yuan (US$1,272).

Unlike previous new iPhone launches, when Apple Stores were normally swarmed with fanatic buyers but also scalpers, who would then sell them immediately for profit, there was relative calm at its key sites in China.

During a half-hour stay at the Apple store, there wasn't a scalper to be seen outside the shop.

If you have driven down Orchard Road this morning, you can't have missed the hordes of people outside the brand new Apple store. It includes the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus that arrived Friday, plus the far pricier, more advanced iPhone X scheduled to arrive six weeks later, which many Apple investors.

The iPhone 8 isn't the exciting new Apple product this fall - that honor is reserved for the forthcoming iPhone X - but it is the new, mainstream iPhone that millions of people will be buying this year and next.

The price tags are an increase from last year's iPhone 7 and 7 Plus; in addition, in the United States the iPhone X 64GB model costs $999 while the 256GB model costs $1,149. "There aren't too many new features to this one".

The two lowest tiers have 100 minutes and 500 minutes of calls and 500 SMS and 1,000 SMS, respectively, while all other tiers feature unlimited calls and SMS. They noted that just like the iPhone 6 Plus camera, the iPhone 8 camera was now using the same optical image stabilizing feature of integrating four magnets around the camera lens. Business Insider's Steve Kovach also mentioned in his review that waiting for the iPhone X is probably the best thing to do.
