The Kardashians Are Donating Half a Million Dollars to Hurricane Harvey Victims

I'm challenging a lot of my celebrity friends to donate $25,000 to Hurricane Harvey, to Red Cross.

"At this point, this is a serious matter", he continued. "I'm anxious about the people there - my friends, family and neighbors - and I want to help".

She said in a statement: "My heart goes out to my hometown, Houston, and I remain in constant prayer for those affected and for the rescuers who have been so courageous and determined to do so much to help".

Hart called on his "Jumanji" co-star Dwayne (The Rock) Johnson, Steve Harvey, Chris Rock, Dave Chappelle, Jerry Seinfeld, JAY-Z, Beyoncé and Justin Timberlake to make donations of their own and continue his challenge by tagging their other famous friends to keep the donations rolling. Kevin's plea comes after Hurricane Harvey hit Texas on Friday evening (25.08.17), devastating buildings and leaving huge floods.

"Was born in Harris county TX, know it!If you need help, in danger, will RT your address and location", he wrote. He drew on his personal experience, with he and his family having survived Hurricane Andrew, which was a Category Five storm that caused havoc in the state of Florida during August of 1992.

Singing superstar Beyonce, who's originally from Texas, released this statement to the Houston Chronicle: "My heart goes out to my hometown, Houston, and I remain in constant prayer for those affected and for the rescuers who have been so fearless and determined to do so much to help". "I also want to thank all the men and women of service and volunteers for their courageous efforts to help people in need", the rapper said on Instagram. She too urged viewers to donate to the Red Cross. The stories and images of emergency workers and good samaritans working around the clock to help bring the city back on its feet are a great reminder that coming together is the only option in times like these. Another 20 inches were expected Monday before Tropical Storm Harvey travels farther east.
