Police say attending fatal auto accident in Manchester

Police were called to the Ibis Hotel on Trafford Road in Salford Quays just after 9pm on Thursday.

Scores of armed police have been seen outside a hotel in Manchester in an "ongoing" incident tonight.

Greater Manchester Police has confirmed it was not firearms related.

Eyewitnesses say about 15 police cars and three ambulances were called to the scene on Trafford Road.

An "ongoing" police operation is being reported at the Ibis Budget Hotel in Manchester, with mass armed police presence and reports of disturbing screams and people covered in blood.

A young boy has died following a collision with a vehicle in a hotel auto park in Greater Manchester.

Paramedics and police rushed to the incident, but sadly the little boy died at the scene.

Witnesses reported seeing a woman with blood on her, while others told of hearing "blood curdling screams".

More than 10 emergency vehicles were seen lined up outside the hotel after the incident. "Enquiries on-going", the police tweeted.

"We were called to reports of a collision between a vehicle and a child", a spokesperson said.

"A woman was shouting hysterically and a children were screaming and crying".
