The odds of winning either game are extreme - one in 292 million for Powerball, and one in 259 million for Mega Millions.
The jackpot in Saturday's (Aug. 12) Powerball drawing is expected to top $350 million. A Texas man named Eliberto Cantu, who won $177 million from a ticket he purchased in Arkansas, was the other jackpot victor this year.
