The flick is slated to hit theaters on June 1, 2018. Now it's the turn of Cable, the movie's villain, played by the formidable Josh Brolin.
Whilst Fox have taken a more stripped back, militarised approach with their iteration of Summers compared to most of the comic counterparts - Brolin looks absolutely incredible here. Today, we have our first full fledged look at Josh Brolin's rendition of Cable and it is so uncannily similar to the comic book version. David Leitch (John Wick, Atomic Blonde) is directing, replacing Tim Miller, who reportedly clashed with Reynolds over the direction of the movie.
In the comics, Cable is from the future and is the son of Madelyne Pryor, the clone of Jean Grey and Cyclops.
The second picture has Cable carrying his gun over one shoulder, his metallic, cybernetic arm dangling on the other side.
Actors from the first Deadpool are returning such as Morena Baccarin as Vanessa, Leslie Uggams as Blind Al, Brianna Hildebrand as Negasonic Teenage Warhead and Stefan Kapicic is voicing Colossus again.
Cable is an adversary-turned-buddy to Deadpool, first crossing paths with the Merc with a Mouth when Deadpool was tasked with assassinating him. Deadpool was coproduced by Marvel Entertainment, owned by ABC News parent company Disney.
