"I think he'll be whatever he wants to be, because that's the kind of man he is", she replied. "I'm actually amazed by Conor McGregor", Porzingis told NBA.com Wednesday. "But I had to find peace at it, come to peace with myself, come to peace with the situation I'm in, kind of try to find happiness again". Porzingis realizes the need to tighten a body that was too lean. As the team prepares to embark on a rebuilding process centered around Porzingis, Anthony appears to be an odd fit in the back nine of his career.
"So far it's been tough in NY, but my journey is only beginning and I hope to stay there my whole career, so as a city we can have some fun and win some games and do something big", Porzingis said to Shaun Powell. While McGregor is known for his trash-talking during press conferences, his confidence has never wavered as he faces new challenges and proves his doubters wrong. "The positive is if we did get him, that means he wanted to be there and accepted the trade and buckle into what we're trying to do".
"For me a lot of things were surprising and unexpected - we'll see when I get there and start working out with the guys, " Porzingis said. "It's hard to say with everything going on in NY but once I get there I'll see things more clearer".
Given everything that's happened in the a year ago between the New York Knicks and star player Kristaps Porzingis, no one would blame him for wanting a fresh start someplace else. The expectation is Anthony will be on another team by training camp, following two seasons alongside Porzingis.
"He's an All-Star, an incredible player and I've learned so much from him", he said.
NY is clearly hoping to convince Anthony to expand his list of acceptable destinations, and players such as the Trail Blazers' Damian Lillard and C.J. McCollum have openly tried to recruit him. But it is what it is. It's a business. If it ends, well.
Carmelo Anthony says he's "at peace" and he "doesn't know" about the chances of remaining a Knick. I'm really thankful for these couple of years I've been with him, just seeing how he works during the summer. Speaking at the Basketball Tournament at Coppin State, which was sponsored by Anthony, Turner said, "If he waives [his no-trade clause] and wants to come, it would be great. I'm sure he'll make the right decision for himself".
After skipping his exit meeting, Porzingis chose to train overseas rather than at the Knicks facility - implementing a workout program focused on strengthening his lower body.
