Arsenal duo, Carl Jenkinson and Cohen Bramall, have arrived on season-long loans, whilst Birmingham also look to have beaten a number of their Championship rivals in the race to sign Sam Gallagher, who will also arrive on a loan from Southampton.
Jenkinson was linked with a permanent move after being omitted from the Gunners' pre-season tour of Australia and China.
Jenkinson, 25, had two loan spells with West Ham United in recent years, but has now dropped down to the second tier as he seeks to play regularly.
Bramall joined Arsenal in January from non-league Hednesford Town in a deal that caught the attention.
Wenger reiterated his desire to offload a number of first-team players before thinking about additions after admitting that the current numbers are too high.
Bramall is yet to make his competitive debut and will look to gain experience with the Midlands side who now sit fifteenth in the Championship table having taken just four points from their opening four games.
However, Arsenal are well-stocked in the left-back department and they feel Bramall would benefit by going out on loan and getting regular first-team footbal under his belt.
