Odds slashed on Sergio Aguero leaving Man City for Chelsea

Conte's team missed out on signing 24-year-old Romelu Lukaku from Everton, snatched away in a £75 million (about $98 million) deal by Jose Mourinho's Manchester United.

He added: "Just to get Chelsea fans to calm down a bit, I think it will be very, very hard for Chelsea to get Aguero out of Manchester City".

When asked if Aguero was staying in May, City chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak said: "Absolutely". I've read a lot of the speculation on this and it's ridiculous. "It has never been in doubt".

It is hardly surprising the Sky Blues are reportedly not open to selling Aguero, especially not to a direct rival, as he is one of the best strikers in Europe.

Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata is set to join Milan and Borussia Dortmund will only wait until the end of the week to sell Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

After Aguero, who was City's top scorer with 20 Premier League goals last season, netted twice in City's final game of the season - a 5-0 victory at Watford - manager Pep Guardiola also insisted he would not be sold.

Although, Sergio Aguero has three more years left on his contract at Manchester City, but lack of active playing times might force him to make a move to Chelsea.

Over the past 24 hours, rumours of Sergio Aguero moving to Chelsea have seriously picked up.

Aguero has lifted two Premier League titles with the Citizens during this period, and it is suggested that the Citizens would be reluctant to part ways with their marksman this summer. "It has never been in doubt", he added.
