"Information and details of what happened were scarce as has been any news from the installation, said to be a prison for the world's most risky threats", the official Blizzard post reads. The post talks at length about the Talon Organization's attack on Helix Security International's maximum security prison in an effort to free a single prisoner, "Akande Ogundimu, better known as Doomfist".
The official Blizzard post said: "Information and details of what happened were scarce as has been any news from the installation, said to be a prison for the world's most unsafe threats". It detailed an attack by Talon - and specifically Reaper - on a maximum security prison, apparently meant to free "Akande Ogundimu, better known as Doomfist". As Gamespot speculates, this could be Reaper. The assailant overcame the Helix security guards, leaving over dozen deceased. Would you like to see Doomfist come to the game?
This event took place about three months before Ogundimu reclaimed the Doomfist weapon during the Numbani airport attack.
The Overwatch blog has a new "report", a fictionalized news item, that once again raises the specter of Doomfist.
More details about Doomfist, Overwatch's most popular unplayable character, have emerged.
Doomfist was originally mentioned in Overwatch's animated trailer which showed Winston and Tracer fighting against Reaper and Widowmaker as they attempt to steal Doomfist's gauntlet from a museum. "While no people were named, the story does say, "...sources have indicated that it is likely that there were further security breaches in addition to Ogundimu".
We've been hearing rumblings about Blizzard adding Doomfist to Overwatch for a while, and now he's officially being teased. Some suspect that he's gonna be a playable hero soon, but he's technically been present in the game since day one.
