From the look of things, players will be able to enter VR battles with other fighters, including the Hulk, Ronan the Accuser, the aforementioned Captain Marvel and Rocket Raccoon as well as a bevy of other characters from throughout the Marvel universe.
The Walt Disney Company's Video Game Showcase panel, hosted yesterday at D23 Expo. Transform into your favorite Marvel Super Hero and wield their awesome powers and weaponry in your hands. Rocket Raccoon will have his trademark blasters and a scatter rifle, while Captain Marvel will have the power of flight, alongside photon beams and super strength. There are plans for more than a dozen characters from the Marvel comics and films to be available to select.
If you're the kind of filthy rich gamer who owns both an Oculus Rift headset and a pair of Oculus Touch controllers, then does Marvel ever have some smashing news for you. Multiple players can team up, each assuming the role of a different Marvel characters, to play together in joint missions. San Diego Comic Con attendees will get the chance to try out MARVEL Powers United VR during the show (July 19-23).
