Clouds and scattered t'storms will take the edge off the heat but still hot and humid conditions expected through the weekend. Here in CT, we have just begun to see the showers move into the state from the west, with several showers and thunderstorms line up due west of CT over the Hudson Valley of NY.
Well after a few nice days across CT the rain and humidity returned in a big way Friday! Now, you know this ideal weather won't last. Highs Tuesday and Wednesday will likely be the hottest of the summer so far.
We may see a few isolated showers and thunderstorms this evening. In a humid air mass, sweat from our bodies does not evaporate from our skin as much as in dry air. Now, Tuesday is a different story. Northern New York and into the Champlain Valley has the possibility of an isolated thunderstorm heading through this evening. Any storm that does become severe may produce damaging wind gusts, heavy downpours, and frequent lightning.
Cold front will bring some strong storms, less humid air
The heat is on next week! It is just too weak. The humidity is high, and the air is very unstable. In the afternoon, scattered storms will start to mix in.
During the morning hours, a cold front will sag down from the north, sparking off some showers and storms in the overnight hours. We will see partly sunny skies all day and afternoon highs once again in the lower and middle 80s.
