That could frustrate users if Apple doesn't inform them that upgrading from iOS 10 to iOS 11 could result in a reduction in overall device functionality. This is ideal for apps that users rarely launch but are afraid to delete out of the fear of losing any data that's associated with said app. Geared Up co-host Andru Edwards says it could be a game changer for Apple, but Todd Bishop isn't so convinced. And according to reports, it was full of stories regarding Apple's plan on macOS, its future hardware devices and especially iOS 11.

The new software update is set to bring a litany of new features to the tablet line, taking cues from the Mac and promising to make the iPad worth considering as a real laptop replacement.

You can swipe from anywhere to access your Dock which you can now customize with your own favorite apps. Developers of those apps should take note of the situation and update their apps if they want to keep them in a working situation.

Users can check which apps will be affected in the update by going to Settings General About Applications App Compatibility.

The mode also enables users to record custom voice messages notifying callers that they are engaged in driving. So it's great that Apple has been proactive about showing us which apps were using the most space.

On iOS 11 the feature is called Offload Unused Apps.
