Trump stops to sign the hat using a black marker, but flung it out to the crowd instead of handing it back to the boy.

Michael McGee, 5, posed with an Easter bunny during the White House Easter Egg Roll on the South Lawn of the White House in Washington today.

As part of her role, Melania has been prepping the White House and building a team - including interior designer Tham Kannalikham, who said: "I am honored by the opportunity to be working with the First Lady to make the White House feel like home".

Entertainment this year included military bands, as well as Martin Family Circus and boy band Bro4.

Speaking at this year's event, he said: "This is the 139th Easter Egg Roll".

"FYI manufacturing deadlines for the Easter eggs are near. We're right on track", Trump said according to a report by the NBC News. President Donald Trump addressed the crowd with this wife Melania, son Barron, and the Easter Bunny stating how this nation will be "stronger and bigger and better" than ever before.

On the other hand, Trump also expressed his heartfelt thanks to his wife, Melania, in being the instrument for the planning and preparing towards the success of this year's Easter Egg Roll.

Both Trump and the first lady have been slow to fill White House jobs, and at least one regular egg roll vendor took to Twitter, the president's favorite social medium, to remind the White House that a deadline for ordering the wooden eggs that are given out as souvenirs was approaching.

The egg-rolling event, which dates to 1878, was smaller this year, down from 35,000 ticket holders last year.

Either way, it seems Mrs Trump will be a tremendous asset to her husband when she leaves her home in NY to join him in Washington. He said that the First Lady has worked for long just to make the event a ideal one and in line with how they want to be.

Over at the reading area, Mrs. Trump read "Party Animals", a story about celebrating differences written by television personality Kathie Lee Gifford.
