This morning Marvel Studios gave us our first look at Thor: Ragnarok with the first official teaser trailer. There isn't going to be a Planet Hulk movie as far as we know so this inclusion is a big deal for the iconic comic book series.
Thor: Ragnarok stars Chris Hemsworth as the titular Asgardian, with Tom Hiddleston as Loki, Mark Ruffalo as the Hulk, Idris Elba as Heimdall, and Sir Anthony Hopkins as Odin.
Thor: Ragnarok comes to theaters November 3rd, 2017. The preview suggests that Asgard's days are numbered, thanks to Cate Blanchett's Hela, and that Thor will face his own set of problems that include gladiatorial combat with his former ally, Hulk.
Kevin Feige is producing with Louis D'Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Brad Winderbaum, Thomas M. Hammel and Stan Lee serving as executive producers. The screenplay is by Eric Perason from a story by Craig Kyle & Christopher Yost and Stephany Folsom. Marvel Studios' Thor: Ragnarok thunders into US theaters on November 3, 2017. We also see the latest villain, Hela. The trailer showcases the action that takes place in space during the movie and also a super-charged fight between Thor and the Hulk.
With a glimpse at new and old characters, the trailer for the third instalment of the franchise is weird and intriguing.
Director Waititi had long promised that Thor: Ragnarok will be Marvel's most "out there" film and conceded that the script and the theme of the movie were constantly changing. We haven't seen him since Avengers: Age of Ultron but if you want to check out what he was doing in that time, watch the hilarious Thor short-film below.
But can Thor get back home before The Ragnarok?
