No home button?! Leaked video sheds light on new iPhone 8

As the information about the next iPhone is appearing online in reports, we have gathered some specs that Apple has in stores to offer on the next iPhone.

Apple has already introduced True Tone technology in iPad Pro, and now the company should do the same with iPhone 8 launch. If Touch ID is dropped it would create enormous pressure on unproven 3D sensing tech to replace the verification system on current generation devices. Furthermore, the iPhone 6s introduced the 3D Touch screen that theoretically allows Apple to relegate several home button functions to any region of the display.

Amongst those possible changes could be the removal entirely of the home button, eliminating the bezel that is around the display of the phone and using materials to build the phone that have never been used prior to now on any iPhones preceding this one. If Apple can't make the sensor technology play nice with OLED displays, Pacific Crest wrote after talks with suppliers, the company could wind up delaying production or scuttling fingerprint sensing on the iPhone.

Since this year marks as the 10 anniversary of Apple iPhones, Apple has high hopes from the next flagship iPhone. iPhone 8 or iPhone X, it has never been about the name, but what matters most are the specifications, the design and last but not the least pricing of the next iPhone. "Additionally, we believe Apple has evaluated Synaptic's (SYNA) optical fingerprint solution, but that it has not been qualified". A similar innovation was reportedly attempted by Samsung for the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+, before production issues took their toll and forced the South Korean tech giant to employ the awkward fingerprint sensor that is now found in the tech firm's newest S-series flagships.

"Likely options for Apple include a delay of production or elimination of fingerprint sensing on the OLED iPhone", the report also says, according to MacRumors. "This would likely lead to a delay of the OLED iPhone launch, but we would not expect it to meaningfully affect volume for the cycle". Otherwise, Apple might scrape the new fingerprint sensor in the device, which is expected to be announced in September. But the display, a key and defining part of the upcoming OLED iPhone's design and functionality, is going to be all Korean.
