Marvel Heroes Omega Announced For Release on Xbox One This Spring

If you've been dying for a Diablo-like game where you can play as your favorite Marvel heroes, then you'll be excited to know that Marvel Heroes Omega will be hosting a closed beta soon.

Marvel Heroes launched in 2013 and has been receiving big yearly updates since then, with Marvel Heroes 2016 adding controller support in what was apparently a sneak peek at how the game would play on consoles.

The latest game to embrace this trend is the free-to-play Marvel Heroes, revealed to be coming to Xbox One and PlayStation 4 earlier this morning. Sporting the new name of Marvel Heroes Omega, Gazillion's community manager David Lee describes the title over on Sony's PlayStation Blog as one that doesn't belong to any typical genre categories, instead mixing together various elements from action-RPGs and MMOs to produce a "unique blend of non-stop action". The game makes use of an isometric camera angle reminiscent of Marvel Ultimate Alliance, though its power-based combat is more similar to massively multiplayer online games.

Lovers of lore can also expect a fantastic tour through famous locations, from the dark streets of Hell's Kitchen to the mystical realm of Asgard.

"If you've got a favorite Marvel Super Hero, there's a good chance you'll be able to play as him or her in Marvel Heroes Omega". Players will be able to choose from a choice of 39 Marvel characters to use in the game, and go through a nine chapter story campaign. It will be free to play so don't worry about having to pay for it.

Operations - In just a matter of minutes you and a group of friends can defeat super villains and foil their schemes. Is this going to be a copy of the PC game for PS4?
