This animated entry in the "Star Wars" franchise fills the gap between the events of "Episode III" and "Episode IV". Three years later, the company announced plans for new 14-acre Star Wars "lands" at both its Orlando and Anaheim, California, parks, capitalizing on the lucrative brand much as Universal Studios did at its Orlando parks with the Harry Potter phenomenon. The mysterious orphan abandoned on Jakku ended The Force Awakens, having discovered the Force is strong within her, on a pilgrimage to find who may appear to be the titular last Jedi - Luke Skywalker. "By putting players in the boots of an elite member of the Imperial forces, we can show them what the battle was like from the other side". Plus, play an emotionally-gripping single player story. Players can choose from an array of land and air vehicles and master their own hero's journey, with customizable character progression across heroes, villains, troopers and starfighters.

Executive produced by Simon Kinberg and Dave Filoni, the in-canon series helps to connect the worlds of the films and the previous animated series, Star Wars: The Clone Wars, with guest appearances so far by characters like Lando Calrissian, Ahsoka Tano, Darth Vader, Darth Maul, Leia Organa, Wedge Antilles, and more.

After a long wait, Lucasfilm and Disney finally released the first official teaser trailer for Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi, which completed its filming in July 2016. The latest "Star Wars" installment is set to hit theaters everywhere near this year's holiday season, on December 15.

"We finished everything in [Star Wars Episode] VIII [The Last Jedi] and Carrie is absolutely phenomenal in the movie, "Kennedy told ABC News". Every trooper class (Officer, Assault, Heavy, and Specialist) is upgraded, delivering superior firepower, deadly weapon modifications, and epic combat abilities. It'll be out this year on November 17 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Looking ahead, while celebrating all that has come before, there's something for everyone at Star Wars Celebration!
