Well, Alabama fans found out just how painful it was to see Deshaun Watson in public after the national title loss.
Did a group of Alabama fans run former Clemson quarterback DeShaun Watson out of a Tuscaloosa bar Friday?
As you would expect, emotions are still running high for the Alabama faithful and two former Crimson Tide players made a decision to heckle Watson while he was enjoying a meal.
As Watson started walking out, a woman was overheard saying sorry and that the situation was "sad".
The patron who shot one of the videos declined comment when contacted by ESPN.
In a Facebook post, Innisfree claimed Watson was basically asked to leave by other customers who were in the establishment at the time. It also said that the customer responsible was immediately asked to leave after he was identified. We appreciate anyone that chooses to visit our establishment and hope to continue welcoming sports fans for years to come. During his visit to the city, which is the home of the University of Alabama, Watson made a decision to do what any person his age would be in a college town: He went to a bar. Watson and Clemson beat Alabama, 35-31, the second of the two games this past January on a last-second touchdown. During those two games, Watson helped Clemson beat the Tide once to claim the title after the 2016 season and almost did enough to beat them in the previous title game.
The good news for Alabama fans: They'll never face Watson on the field again, as he is preparing for this month's National Football League draft.
