United States dollars graduate program ranked among nation's best

Several of its programs and specialties also scored well, including nuclear engineering, which was rated at no. 1 in the country.

The professional program in the Department of Occupational Therapy in CSU's College of Health and Human Sciences holds the No. 6 spot among similar programs nationwide, based on the most recent ranking in 2016.

Among nursing schools, the UW ranked 6th, WSU 41st, Seattle U 92nd and Gonzaga 142nd. Psychology is 17th; English and history are 20th. "The continued strong position in the rankings for a large number of our graduate education programs demonstrates the prominence of our faculty in terms of research and scholarship and our commitment to educate the next generation of thought leaders". Last year, the Curry School came in at No. 21.

Emory University School of Medicine ranked 23rd nationally among research-oriented medical schools, and 34th among primary care schools. "Claiming the Adobe Analytics Challenge championship title, raising our percentage of female MBA students and partnering with our experiential learning opportunities such as the Lassonde Entrepreneur Institute are just three of many initiatives that have resulted in this significant jump in rankings", said Stephanie Geisler, director of the Full-Time MBA Program.

Supply chain management is eighth in the nation.

U.S. News and World Report has listed the University of San Diego's School of Leadership and Education Sciences (SOLES) among the nation's top 10 percent of Graduate Schools of Education for the fourth year in a row.

The IU Maurer School of Law in Bloomington ranks 30th overall. Tax law was 23rd; global and environmental law, 25th; and intellectual property law, 27th.

Also worth noting: Northwestern University's Pritzker School of Law and Duke University broke into this year's top 10, tying for no. 10.

Among specialty rankings, Baylor's online MBA program, which began in May 2014, was ranked No. 72, based on factors such as student engagement, admissions selectivity, reputation for excellence among peer institutions, faculty credentials and training and student services and technology.

La Salle University's Part-Time Hybrid MBA program is tailored to fit the needs of the working adult. It achieved a no. 1 ranking in higher education administration, while finished at no. 2 in secondary teacher education, educational psychology and elementary teacher education.

The widely touted set of annual rankings was released Tuesday by the news magazine, which compared hundreds of graduate programs on a variety of metrics. Graduate programs in Economics tied with four other universities at No. 42 overall and No. 22 among public programs.
