A fighter plane of Indian Air Force Sukhoi-30MKI, crashed in Rajasthan's Barmer on Wednesday. It has also been learned that both the pilots ejected the plane minutes before the crash safely. "Air Force officials have been informed about the incident", he said, adding, that the crash had caused damage to a hamlet. The incident occurred near Shivkar village in the Sadar police station area, police said.
Two accidents in one day cost the Indian Air Force a Sukhoi-30MKI jet and a Chetak helicopter. Both pilots are safe. The local police have reached at the spot.
The injured civilians are Narayan Ram, his daughter-in-law and grandson.
The pilots escaped safely.
The vintage aircraft, recently gone under upgrade crashed in Shivkar Kudla village of Barmer in Rajasthan.
In the morning, a Chetak helicopter developed technical snags after taking off from the Bamrauli air base in Allahabad.
According to reports, the aircraft had suffered a tyre burst during the landing.
No casualties have been reported, said a defence official. There have been numerous instances of MiG fighter aircraft crashing in the year 2015 and 2016.
