Billionaire Mukesh Ambani-led Jio reached out to its customers asking them to register for Jio Prime which will offer additional free data of up to 10 GB and add on services worth Rs 301 on existing plans if they recharge before March 31 for Rs 499 or above.

Airtel has introduced a new plan under which users can enjoy 1 GB 4G data every day with unlimited calls for just Rs. 345. The Offer is available only till March 15. For non-Prime members, the Rs 303 recharge will only get you 2.5GB data for the monthly cycle.

Earlier today, Idea Cellular also announced a plan which offers users 14GB of 4G data (500MB/day) along with unlimited calls at just Rs 345/month. Airtel's new Rs 345 plan now offers 1GB of 4GB data per day along with local and STD voice calls free per month. The Rs 19 plan offers a validity of one-day with 200MB of data, the Rs 49 plan offers three-day validity with 600MB of data, whereas the Rs 96 plan offers seven-day validity and 7GB of data. The company offering unlimited voice calls to any network and coupled with 1GB of 4G data per day just for Rs. 346 with a validity of 28 days. This offer only serves only to the non-data users with 4G handsets, a company spokesperson said.

On the flip side, brokerage Credit Suisse, however, feels market leader Bharti Airtel will match Jio's paid offers, going forward.

Reliance Jio services are all set to go commercial from April 1 and the company announced Reliance Jio Prime programme, in order to retain customers.

The Rs.999 plan gives a Prime member 60GB of data for one billing cycle with the no FUP cap, while a non-Prime member receives 12.5GB data.

Reliance Jio on realising that the poster boy of digital economy could become a potential customer tweeted him with their offer.

The Prime membership can either be obtained via the MyJio app or by registering at a nearby store which deals in Jio sims before March 31, 2017. The SMS limit remains at 100 free SMS per day. The price of two new plans is Rs.342 and Rs.346.

Jio has now sweetened the offer further by offering 5GB of extra data. 303 recharge pack allows user to consume 1GB of data whenever they choose to. It was nearly like a similar offering from every operator before Reliance Jio entered the scene and now, there has been a big fall in the prices and increment in the services offered by the same carriers for the same prices.
