RB Leipzig 'confident of keeping Naby Keita'

Wolfsburg's midfielder Yannick Gerhardt (L) and Leipzig's Guinean midfielder Naby Deco Keita vie for the ball during the German First division Bundesliga football match of RB Leipzig vs VfL Wolfsburg in Leipzig, eastern Germany, on March 11, 2017.

The 22-year-old has been linked with a summer move to either Arsenal or Liverpool as a result, while Bayern Munich are reportedly interested in him too.

He added that the Guinea worldwide has "no release clause in his contract" and said: "He's still under contract for a long time yet".

Reports suggest Jurgen Klopp is closely monitoring Keita and the Guinea worldwide also revealed last August that he had rejected the chance to join the Gunners after a phone call with Arsene Wenger.

Rangnick told Sport1 Doppelpass: "I don't know anything about Bayern interest". But I think it's very likely he'll play for us next season.

"Keita as a player is really on fire", he said.

'We wouldn't swap Keita with [Paul] Pogba for our style of play'. In addition to that, he has also bagged four goals and eight assists in 22 Bundesliga games.

"But I don't see him in Liverpool".

And, according to the Liverpool Echo, Keita has emerged as a prime target for Jurgen Klopp this summer in a bid to bolster his midfield, but will face competition from Arsenal. Keita's possible addition can help ease the burden off Jordan Henderson's shoulders as well, with Klopp depending heavily on the Liverpool captain in the centre of the park.
