Texas Officer Stops Flaming Truck From Engulfing Drive-Thru

A police officer in Glenn Heights, Texas is being heralded as a hero after using his squad vehicle to contain a truck that had burst into flames. He was able to get his wife and daughter out of the truck safely before it burst into flames.

Officer Chris Womack made a decision to use his patrol vehicle to push the truck away.

Womack can be seen on dashcam footage pulling in behind the blue Ford and nudging it forward as the flames licked the side of the building.

As Womack nudged the truck with his auto, his tires screeched and smoke billowed from the cab.

No one was injured in the incident, and the Jack in the Box and its tacos - love them or hate them - stayed safe and sound. "I am not sure if the structure has actually caught on fire, but the truck is in the parking lot now".

"I would like to commend Officer Chris Womack".

Officer Womack nudged the truck with his patrol auto.

"When I got there the flames were nearly touching the ceiling", Womack said.
