Congratulations to Kate Upton.
She shared the news on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, where three different covers were revealed to viewers.
"That's why you'll be seeing her on not one...not two...but THREE covers this year."
The cover of the Swimsuit Edition is a closely guarded secret, and Upton hadn't even seen the images before Kimmel revealed them on TV. She then went on to land the cover back-to-back years in 2012 and 2013.
So if the NY Post report is true, it looks like SI caved and Upton got her third solo SI Swimsuit cover (tied for first all-time).
The lineup of athletes donning bathing suits in SI Swimsuit 2017 is impressive.
She endeavoured to pull the lapels together, but with a chest like Kate's, that's not easily done. (Exhibit A: this year's cover model Kate Upton, basically wearing some string.) So it's not normally associated with body acceptance-rather, it's known for inspiring envy in women everywhere.
The theme of this year's special issue centers on body diversity and age inclusion, something that was vital to Sports Illustrated editor MJ Day. Upton was just so unbelievable that SI chose to do a repeat, with the unprecedented change of using only one model.
At Golf Digest, we're particularly happy for Kate. These are things that really bring joy into the world.
"I'm really excited to be back shooting the Swimsuit Issue - it's always something really fun and it always feels really good".
The SI Swimsuit fans were clearly thrilled that the 24-year-old blond bombshell has returned to show off her stunning bod once again. "She's thinks she's better than everyone because she's an actress".
Sports Illustrated has been murky on the release details of the highly anticipated Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition 2017.
