The program itself is scheduled to begin on November 17, and is supposed to end one year after that on Nov. 17, 2017, although Samsung does say it can extend the Rewards program beyond that date or end it early. For example some restaurants might offer discounts if a certain credit card issued by a particular bank is used, or some cards might offer better rebates and points, and so on.
Samsung has announced the launch of rewards for Samsung Pay users located in the USA, something the company says is a first among mobile payment platforms.
The new Samsung Rewards program will be available in the United States beginning this week and applies to all those using Samsung Pay. Every time you make a purchase with Samsung Pay, you earn rewards points. Samsung plans to extend the Rewards program to more of its products and services, such as Samsung.com and S Health, exclusive events and more offers from the company's partner programs. Samsung is also planning to introduce multipliers for increased use of the platform so users can earn double, triple or even quadruple points. That is, all accumulated points can be redeemed for various prizes. The company says that the new rewards program will launch this week. All users enrolled in Samsung Rewards will start in the Silver tier.
Samsung Rewards launches this week in the USA for Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge, S6 Edge+, Note 5, Gear S2 and Gear S3 devices that offer Samsung Pay. Moving forward, however, they'll be able to do this through Samsung.com as well.
Finally, Samsung Rewards will offer Instant Win prizes for active users, like a trip for two to Napa Valley.
