Geno Smith leaves Jets game with knee injury

In his first start since the final game of the 2014 season, Smith couldn't make it through a half, suffering a right knee injury while trying to avoid a sack by the Ravens' Matthew Judon.

West has 414 yards on 88 carries, a 4.7 yards per carry average. He threw a quick, 5-yard pass to Quincy Enunwa in the second quarter that ended up breaking for a 69-yard touchdown.

The Jets will present a prepared video tribute to Byrd, illustrating his playing career with the team, including his improbable comeback following a broken neck from a 1992 game injury that temporarily paralyzed him. Forte did most of the damage, piling up 101 yards on 30 carries.

Fitzpatrick came in for Smith in the second quarter and led the Jets on a go-ahead drive capped by a 13-yard touchdown catch by Matt Forte.

Any discussion of who will start for the Jets against the Browns next weekend will likely wait for word on Smith's condition. He was helped off the field by trainers, and immediately taken back to the locker room.

For this Sunday's Jets / Ravens matchup, two numbers he's focused on are 11 and 9 million. No team is going to experience success when the starting quarterback has double the interceptions to touchdowns. Edwards then couldn't corral the football as Moore recovered and ran it in for 2 yards. The last figure ranked last among qualified players, according to ESPN.
