It's a little hard to believe that the Ford Fiesta ST first came to the United Kingdom all the way back in 2013, and it's also a little hard to believe that up until now, it's only been available here with three doors. And it looks great, but getting normal-sized people and their belongings in and out can be a bit of a challenge. The Fiesta ST's extra set of doors now makes it a more practical proposition for those with smaller children or carry rear passengers frequently.
Priced from £19,495 in the United Kingdom on ST-2 and ST-3 series from October, Ford predicts the Fiesta ST five door will account for 25 per cent of Fiesta ST sales in Europe.
In all the ways that matter, the five-door ST is the same as its door-poor sibling, with 180bhp from its 1.6 litre turbo engine, enough for a sprint to 62mph in 6.9 seconds.

Ford says the new five-door ST, which is only offered in ST-2 and ST-3 trims, will cost upwards of £19,495. This is the same factory-claimed time of the three-door. Nearly two-thirds of the regular Fiesta sales pot is five-door. Economy is down slightly, with 46.3mpg not quite matching the three-door's 47.9mpg figure. When it comes to the regular Ford Fiesta, 64% of buyers opted for the five-door model in 2015. Zero to 100 km/h takes 6.9 seconds, the same as the three-door - yet the auto is also capable of a fuel consumption figure of 6.1 litres per 100 km. Recaro seats and ST badging mark out the auto from the inside, too.
