Ivanka Trump's BS Speech About Equal Pay Shows Lying Runs in Family

Ivanka Trump delivers a speech during the evening session on the fourth day of the Republican National Convention on July 21, 2016 at the Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, Ohio.

According to NPR, Ivanka Trump made a speech about her father at the Republican National Congress. She said that it has been more than a year since the Republican nominee had become "the people's champion". She also vouched her father's support for maternal and accessible child care through changing the labor laws.

"At my father's company women are paid equally for the work that we do", Ivanka said during her speech.

The younger Trump offered up examples of her dad reaching out to strangers with help and job opportunities after reading about injustices and tragedies in the newspaper.

While her father is known for his nearly hypnotic ramblings, Ivanka, the former best friend of Hillary Clinton's daughter, is collected, focused and articulate.

Policies that allow women to thrive!

She is thought to be one of her father's most influential advisers, a person who can persuade him to hire or fire someone.

On Tuesday, the sons of Donald Trump were expected to take the stage. She then reiterated her earlier point about the gender wage gap: "Politicians talk about wage equality, but my father has made it a practice at his company throughout his entire career".

"He is not gender specific in his criticism of people and people that he doesn't particularly like or people he likes that he thinks are wrong on a particular issue", Ivanka told CNN's Poppy Harlow when faced question over his past treatment of women.

Ivanka skilfully navigates this area, too. "You have lovely women who are not very smart, you have handsome women who are very, very brilliant and smart, you have women that are not very attractive that are totally brilliant and also very successful", he told Spencer.

"He's totally left it up to me", Ivanka said in an interview with ABC's Good Morning America this week on her father's involvement with her speech. He said all of Donald Trump's children showed an "immaculate" style at the convention. "They talk about, you know, the ways they all empower women".

Ivanka Trump introduced herself as a millennial to the audience at the RNC, saying "I don't consider myself categorically Republican or Democrat". When delegates were asked on the convention floor to name something they've learned about Trump this week - a man who has been in the public eye for decades - there was little mention of policy.

I hesitate to view the behavior of Donald Trump as a reflection of anything other than the behavior of Donald Trump.

Her ensemble was "modern, feminine and attractive", said Peter Marx, president of the Washington, D.C.-area luxury women's fashion shop Saks Jandel.
