Microsoft Surface Phone To Release In March 2017

If that's the case, 2017 will see the release of Redstone 2 coincide with other rumored devices such as the Surface phone, the Surface Pro 5 and now the Surface Book 2. It is expected the new Kaby Lake processor will extend the battery life of the next gen Surface Pro device, thus making it more efficient. The possible reason behind the delay could be Microsoft's intention to include the upcoming Intel Kaby Lake processing chip for its next line of hybrid devices. Microsoft hopes to solve this issue by integrating Kaby Lake processor, which not only consumes low power but also enhances the performance of the tablet. It now appears to be that the release of the Surface Phone will be happening in the March of 2017, as per market insiders.

Through this high-performance processor, the laptop will be able to support seamlessly the all-new versatile connector called Thunderbolt 3 as well as the USC Type-C port.

Surface Pro 5 is also speculated to feature a powerful 16 GB RAM that will make it twice faster than Surface Pro 4.

The Surface Pen is expected to be upgraded as well. "For us, we believe creativity will strike at any moment and you'll want to know your pen is going to work without having to plug it in to charge it first", Microsoft Surface marketing manager Markus Weickenmeier said as quoted by Vine Report.

There are unconfirmed reports that the Surface tablet will be powered with a dedicated graphics card, which could be Nvidia Pascal or the latest AMD Polaris GTX 1080.

On the specifications front, the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 will be equipped with a 12.3-inch IPS high-resolution display, up to 16GB RAM and 512GB SSD storage. These speculations are based on the rumors circulating around the internet.
