Driver hospitalised after double decker bus crashes into Smart auto

Pictures of the mangled vehicle were posted online shortly after the collision, which also showed the W8 double-decker bus on the kerb.

The car's driver had been taken to hospital, the London ambulance service said.

Seven people have been taken to hospital after a crash between a bus and a auto in north London.

The ambulance service tweeted that it had cleared a "significant incident" to which it sent four ambulances, a response paramedic and its hazardous area response team.

One woman was badly hurt with chest injuries and was rushed to hospital as a priority.

Six passengers, including a man with neck pain and five others with less serious injuries, were also taken to hospital.

The Met Police said London Road had been closed from Cecil Road to Southbury Road due to the collision.
